(if you are just joining us today, and want to know how we got here, follow those links in order, left to right)
All to get you to this place right now.
Are you ready?
Here we go!
Hang on, this is a long one!
At the beginning of the year I sat down and wrote out some intentions.
I left them broad and wide open. Plenty of room for pondering. Being. Not necessarily emphasizing doing. One of them was Give. As in, quit your navel-gazing and worrying about the future Tracy, and just do something for someone else because it feels good. No other reason. Because it feels good.
One day in February, I had one of those "I just channeled something from some Great Source and I don't know where it came from, but WOWee it's a doozy" kind of experiences.
In 20 minutes flat I had an idea ~ it seemed to come out of nowhere ~ of how I wanted to fill my intention of Give for the year. Like a whole organized chart and plan worth of an idea. Big picture considered. Details completely fleshed out. Timeline in place.
It was spooky and magical, it was all there, complete.
So I got all excited and got busy in my head and got on the internet and grew this plan. And tried to make it different, and better, and bigger. (um, this would be the opposite of the "being" part I mentioned above) And I put this grand scheme out into the universe.
There is this saying, about the best laid plans and someone laughing...
So, it just wasn't time. It didn't take. I was a little discouraged, but not defeated. I put it away. Knowing that it would have its chance. It just had to be the right moment. And come from my heart. Not my head. This was the one key lesson I learned. I got it.
And you know what?
Several months later, all the right elements lined up.
This idea is ready to get itself out into the world! A dream I have is joining up with other dreamers. The weaving has begun! It's time!!!!
I'm so stinkin' excited!!!!
Here we go. At last.
I have this heart-felt connection ~ something I really don't understand ~ to Kenya. It's coming from some unknown place. And I'm ready to honor it. And I felt pulled in by some great big force... like a voice,
"YES! This connection is important. Pay attention!"
You know, when big booming voices tell you to pay attention, you should.
So I did.
And here I am.
The name of the first post. This is the Swahili word for Giraffe.
(part of the Kenyan Community Support Initiative and a project of Mercy Gate Ministries of South Africa). This is the dream of Vincent and Abigael Kenanda.
To give to the disadvantaged children of Kisii. Children without homes, children without families, children that are HIV positive, or children that simply need a warm meal once in a while.
It is also part of a dream of this fabulous Sister, Amy Champ, to create centers like this for orphaned children all over the world.
Oh, and here’s me, Tracy, in case you don’t know who I am.
Dreamer. Artist. Risk Taker.
Dreaming big. Coming together to make sure that the next generations get to follow their dreams.
And so, without further ado, here it is, this grand reveal!
Welcome to the LOVE REVOLUTION!
I am setting out to spread LOVE around the world.
LOVE is my mission.
LOVE is my reason.
LOVE is my goal.
LOVE is the way.
I want to cast this big huge squishy web of LOVE as far and wide as I can. It will connect each and everyone of you that chooses to play a part. It will link us up, one by one, heart to heart, in waves and waves.
Too goo-ey for you?
Good ol' heart-connecting LOVE is the best dang medicine there is! (right up there with laughter). Giving, and receiving. Both. You know it's true! You know you want some!
See, this all stems from this weird thing about me wanting to shine a light on a rather different way of being. It's kind of a leap from where we're at. A stretch. But it feels like it's time. It feels like we're ready. I want us to shift our focus away from helping, healing, and saving the world. It's what we've been doing for quite a while now.
Folks are tired. Many feel like it’s hopeless. Why bother, people say.
So what if we stop putting all our eggs in the basket of 'things are broken and we need to fix them.' Or, 'oh woe is the world and we have to keep focusing on the everything that's wrong and it's so overwhelming.' And, ‘boy oh boy our work will never be done but someone has to be the martyr and try to fix it even though it feels hopeless and we're exhausted.'
What do you think? How about we try something different?
That's right, time to start connecting through LOVE.
INTENT folks, pay attention to this in every single aspect of your life. Why do you do the things you do? It is SUPER powerful when you start to be aware of it.
The right INTENT, will rock your world.
It will change you, it will change the world.
And here's how you can start right here, right now.
Let's get creative and start celebrating all the beauty there is in this world with some serious intent.
The intent of LOVE.
Let's use our life to be the LOVE we want to see in this world (thanks Ghandi for that little inspired tid-bit). I want us to celebrate LOVE and I want us to just plain ol' BE LOVE.
Are you still with me?
(Now, if you are feeling that you need to head to the comments section to counter any of this and point out the flaws of my approach, well, I'm going to ask you right here to please hold your thoughts. To consider that if that's how you're feeling, then this won't be the thing for you. And that's okay! Don't feel obligated to join this party. But I'm asking you with much heart-felt kindness not to deflate this thing just as we're getting going. Thank you for understanding.)
Are you ready for a LOVE REVOLUTION?
Here's how it works, easy, peasy:
1. I made these necklaces.
They are my Soul's Expression. FULL of my LOVE.
They are my way of sending my LOVE out into the world.
They are full of my INTENT that LOVE is the way.
They are a way of connecting my dreams to other’s dreams, and weaving a big ol’ dream web around the world.
2. I'm selling them over here, on Etsy.
All proceeds (after packaging and shipping) go straight to the wonderful folks and children at Twiga Children's Centre. (More details over there in the Esty shop.) I make not a penny, this is my gift to share with others.
3. For each love necklace that goes to you, a fun & chunky bead necklace goes to a child or youth at Twiga.
Connection. It's about Connection.
You give LOVE, you get LOVE, LOVE is given. The LOVE Connection is woven stronger and stronger.
4. My goal, since it's helpful in these kinds of endeavors, is to raise $1,000. (This is 1/5th of the funds needed for a sustainable business that will support the Twiga Children’s Centre.)
50 necklaces given.
50 necklaces received.
50 connections made.
100 heart-felt strands of web woven.
Oodles of LOVE exchanged.
In ONE Month!
Can we do it?
I know we can.
Go HERE now.
(Well, okay, go here after you read down to the bottom, then come back and take yourself over to the Expressive Souls Etsy shop.)
Make some dreams come true.
Grab yourself some LOVE and send it around to the other side of this big, beautiful planet that we call home.
Weave LOVE around the world. Link it up!
Here are some other ways you can be the LOVE:
You could give your necklace as a birthday present.
Give it to someone who could use some love.
Reconnect with someone you want to forgive.
Or to let old bygones be bygones.
If you have a blog, you could give away a necklace there.
You can even just share the LOVE by sharing this project on your blog ~ let's find these necklaces some good homes!
AND! When you help others realize their dreams, your dreams will start being realized too.
Channels open, synchronicity appears, and soon, dreams are coming true all over the world.
Connect, connect, connect...
But most importantly?
Keep it going!
Kutoa ni moyo usambe ni utajiri
(giving is from the heart, not from wealth)
Thank you for joining me in this LOVE Revolution.
P.S. This feels like just the beginning of this story. Like there is much, much more. I have no idea where it will take me. But I am open and ready! This is the mystery part of this story.
I LOVE a good mystery!
